Before importing scan data, first you must select the project type based on your scan data set.

Select project type:

  • Monuments, buildings & interiors modelling projects (The most common choice for small detailed objects such as monuments, parts of buildings or areas with a footprint up to 100m2)
  • Infrastructure objects, larger buildings & landscape modelling projects (The most common choice for terrestrial scanners)
  • Large scale topography & corridor mapping projects (The most common choice for infrastructure projects)
  • Large scale airborne LIDAR data management and analysis projects (The most common choice for large airborne LiDAR projects)

Note regarding Undet project creation:
Undet database has double-file structure Preview points and Full points. Selecting the right project type speeds up the indexing process, without losing full point cloud points and affects only the preview view. More information in Undet project creation tutorial step by step…

New Project dialog / window:

[Add Files] – scan data files to the Point Cloud manager for processing (*.e57, *.LAS, *.FLS, *.RCP, *.ASCII and etc.).
[Create Group] – Creates a new group or merge selected  Point Cloud Data files to the new group.
[Move Up] – Moves up and changes selected record position inside group in the processing list. 
[Move Down]– Moves down and changes selected record position inside group in the processing list. 
[Remove Group or File] – Removes selected group or Point Cloud data file from processing list.
[Undo] – Reverses last grouping command.
[Settings] – Opens project creation settings dialog.
[About] – Opens update and software version information.
[Help] – Opens user knowledge base. 
[Create Project] – start to create the Undet Project.
